You found the home of your dreams? Before you make an offer, we strongly recommend you read the guide below.
You can bookmark this web page and come back to it for any further questions you might encounter while filling the legal documents you'll use in your transaction.
1.Call the owner and visit the property -
Be sure to ask the owner lots of questions and thoroughly review the property. If you are interested, you may want to discuss price, completion date, and conditions with the owner.
Wightmove recommends that you always have your Solicitor/Conveyancer review everything before you sign. So the first step in making an offer is consulting your Solicitor/Conveyancer
In addition to deciding upon your desired purchase price, conditions and completion date; when you visit your Solicitor/Conveyancer you will need to obtain the following information from the seller: seller's name(s) as it appears on title, address of the property, seller’s Solicitor/Conveyancer, and all included and excluded items (Inventory)
All questions regarding the offer to purchase should be forwarded to your Solicitor/Conveyancer.
2. When a seller is presented with an offer, ther are then thre possible outcomes -
- 1. Acceptance of the offer.
- 2. Rejection of the offer.
- 3. A counter-offer is made.
